Recipe of Crispy Tauhu Bergedil Instant Noodle Recipe

Crispy on the outside, soft and flavourful on the inside, this Tauhu Bergedil is elevated with the springy texture of Vit’s Slim Instant Noodles. Each bite delivers a satisfying crunch followed by a savoury, hearty filling of mashed potatoes and seasoned minced meat. It is comforting, nostalgic, and perfect for tea-time, gatherings, or as a special homemade treat with a modern twist.

Ingredients

  • 10 pieces touhu, centre hollowed out
  • 1 large potato, cubed and fried
  • 1 piece Vit’s Slim Instant Noodle, boiled and drained
  • 200g minced meat
  • 1 red onion, finely diced
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten for coating
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Seasoning powder

Method

  1. Fry the sliced potatoes until golden brown. Lightly mash them, keeping some texture for a more satisfying bite.
  2. Boil Vit’s Slim Instant Noodles for 2 to 3 minutes only. Drain well and cut into shorter strands so they blend easily into the filling.
  3. Cook the minced meat together with the diced red onion until the meat changes colour and becomes slightly dry and fragrant.
  4. Combine the mashed potatoes, cooked noodles, sautéed meat, and chopped coriander leaves. Season with salt, black pepper, and a little seasoning powder. Mix well until evenly combined.
  5. Fill each hollowed tofu generously with the prepared mixture. Dip the stuffed tofu into the beaten egg until fully coated.
  6. Fry in medium heat oil until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain excess oil.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy the crispy exterior with the savoury, noodle-filled centre.
