
Recipe of Mi Rebus using Vit’s Dried Slim Noodle
Rebus, a Malay word, refers to the process of blanching in scalding water. Mee Rebus, as the name implies, is a dish made of blanched yellow noodles. Naturally, a gorgeously hued, thick, and sweet gravy sauce is served alongside the yellow noodles. This sauce is created by mashing, blending, and combining various ingredients and seasonings. The dish is then topped with a variety of garnishing to add vibrancy, which ultimately symbolises Malaysian culture.

Ingredients
- 2 Packs Air Dried Slim Noodle
- 3 Minced garlic
- 3 Minced shallots
- Chicken breast
- 3 potatoes
- 4 cubes chicken stock
- 3 large onions
- 1 stick
- 1 slice of ginger
- Turmeric powder
- Sugar
- Chopped celery leaves
- Spring onion
- Halved hard boil egg
- Halved Fresh lime
- Raw bean sprouts
- Chopped red chilli
- Deep fried spring onion fritters
Method
- Heat the water:
- Put a large pot of water on to boil. Once the water has reached the rolling boil, put the instant dry noodle. After the noodle soften, toss the noodle.
- On the same pot, cook the potatoes until they are soft. The potatoes are peeled and thoroughly mashed. The onions, lemongrass, ginger, and turmeric powder are sauté on a different pan until fragrant. And then combine into the same pot add water.
- Put the chicken and fish cake until the gravy boil.
- The noodles that have been boiled are placed on a plate and covered with loads of gravy.
- The meal is then topped with chopped celery leaves, a hard-boiled egg that has been cut in half, some raw bean sprouts, chopped red chilli, halved fresh lime, and deep-fried spring onion fritters. Enjoy!
