Recipe of Mee Tomyam Kung with Vit’s Tomyam Flavour

Tom yam is the name of two similar soup or gravy dishes originating from Thailand. Tom yam is widely served in neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, and has been popularized around the world. Tom yam has the characteristic spicy and sour taste, with the use of fragrant herbs. The basic stew is made from stock and new ingredients such as lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, ginger, lime juice, fish sauce and crushed chilies.

Ingredients

  • 1 shallot
  • 1 cloves of garlic
  • Bombay onion
  • 2 red chilies
  • 1 cup of water a little water if necessary
  • Cooking oil
  • Mushroom
  • Chicken breast
  • Squid
  • Shrimp

Method

  1. Heat the water:
  2. Put a large pot of water on to boil. Once the water has reached the rolling boil, put the instant dry noodle.  After the noodle soften, toss the noodle.
  3. On a different pan, Sauté shallots, garlic, chicken, and mushroom and Tomyam seasoning (that has been provided in the packs) until fragrant.  Put 1 cup of water and wait until it boils. 
  4. Cut the Bombay onion in pieces, put in the soup with shrimp and squid.  Do not let this overcook. 
  5. After the soup boil, prepared a bowl put the instant noodle and the soup.  Garnish it with the red chilies for extra spicy.  Enjoy your meal!
